Job summary

IBM Software is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Kora Storage team. You will help design and implement a scalable, highly available storage engine for multi-tenant cloud services and drive architectural decisions across products.

This role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in backend/infrastructure, deep distributed systems knowledge, and experience with modern cloud-based architectures and open-source ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend/infrastructure experience.
• Master's degree in CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience designing and building large-scale distributed storage systems.
• Strong knowledge of fault tolerance, consistency, and scalability.

Responsibilities
