Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer for its Emerging Products Group (EPG) in the United States. The role focuses on building highly reliable, scalable cloud services and leading cross-team reliability initiatives.

You will design and improve observability, drive automation, and guide incident response while partnering with software engineers and product teams to align with reliability goals.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux, and Terraform.
• Experience with multi-region, highly available architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Define, measure, and improve SLI/SLOs and error budgets.
• Automate toil and enable CI/CD and GitOps practices.
• Mentor engineers and lead reliability initiatives.
