Job summary

Okta is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for its Emerging Products Group. You will design, build, and operate highly reliable cloud services and automation that empower engineering teams to move quickly with confidence.

The role emphasizes observability, reliability, and operational excellence across production environments. You will work with Go/Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices to reduce toil and drive scalable platform engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale production services in cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Deep Kubernetes, Linux expertise in production settings.
• Strong software engineering skills in Go and/or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm).
• Experience building automation and internal platforms to improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure and production services.
• Participate in global on-call rotation for highly available systems.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for systemic improvements.
• Define and improve SLI/SLOs and error budgets.
• Collaborate with teams to improve deployment safety, observability, and reliability.
