Ladders is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for Search to join our information technology leadership team. This role focuses on advancing search and location intelligence powering high-volume customer-facing products and collaborates with data, product, and customer teams to transform feedback into stronger engineering solutions at scale.

Location: Remote. You will help improve query understanding, ranking, data enrichment, and retrieval across geocoding and autocomplete experiences,

Qualificações

• 5-7 years of software engineering experience, preferably in high-throughput systems.
• Proficiency in Scala and Python for data pipeline development.
• Experience with Rust for backend services, particularly geospatial databases.
• Familiarity with machine learning and large language models (LLMs).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a generalist mindset across tech stacks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and incorporate feedback into engineering solutions.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Search to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on advancing search and location intelligence capabilities that power high-volume customer-facing products. You will help improve query understanding, ranking, data enrichment, and retrieval across geocoding and autocomplete experiences. The position also partners closely with data, product, and customer teams to turn feedback into stronger engineering solutions at scale.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Enhance geocoding and autocomplete systems through improved query understanding and ranking
• Leverage ML and LLMs to enrich and expand location data
• Automate data pipelines to streamline data integration and corrections
• Integrate new data sources to improve normalization and matching processes
• Collaborate across data and search systems to optimize indexing and retrieval
