Job summary

Radar, headquartered in NYC, seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for the Search team to improve geocoding and autocomplete data at scale. You will work across data, search, and backend systems, using ML/LLMs to enrich and rank results, and you’ll build pipelines that keep location data growing and accurate.

• Experience building and shipping geospatial data platforms at scale.
• Ability to improve query understanding, retrieval, ranking, and relevance.
• Experience with ML/LLMs to enrich and match location data.
• Proficiency across data, search, and backend systems, with comfort using ML where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Improve geocoding and autocomplete quality through better query understanding, retrieval, ranking, and relevance.
• Use ML/LLMs to enrich, label, match, and expand location data at scale.
• Automate data pipelines to grow coverage and detail with less manual work.
• Onboard new data sources and normalize, match, and integrate US and international location data.
• Work across data and search to improve indexing, retrieval, ranking, and user surfacing.
• Work across Scala/Python data pipelines to HorizonDB (Rust) serving.
