Affirm is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to define and lead technical excellence for core consumer experiences, starting with marketplace and search. You will shape strategy across full-stack teams, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, and drive scalable, reliable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, define technical direction, and uphold a strong ownership culture while delivering high-impact initiatives in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across the stack and backend architecture improvements.
• Experience leading critical projects across engineering teams.
• Proven ability to define and execute technical strategy improving reliability and performance.
• Project or people management experience and effective communication.

Responsibilities
