Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering, 5+ years in senior technical leadership.
• Experience building and scaling multi-layered platforms (software, embedded, cloud, applications).
• Background in embedded systems, real-time firmware, IoT connectivity and device-to-cloud architectures.
• Familiar with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and scalable backend design.
• Experience with building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, BLE, Zigbee).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE; preferred Master’s degree; Mandarin Chinese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end platform architecture for BAS ecosystem including software, firmware, device communication, cloud services, data pipelines and user apps.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across embedded, cloud and application layers; oversee firmware for controllers and sensors.
• Ensure CI/CD, automated testing, observability and security; drive reliability and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with hardware, product, QA, manufacturing, and field teams; translate requirements into robust software solutions.
• Lead and mentor software engineering teams to deliver high‑reliability systems in a hardware‑plus‑software environment.
