Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Atlas team. The role can be based in NYC with hybrid options or fully remote from the Eastern or Central time zones, focusing on designing, building, and operating scalable systems for the Atlas platform.

You will work hands-on to implement tooling, automation, and multi-cloud reliability, participating in on-call rotations to keep customer workloads available and secure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience running critical systems at scale.
• Automation-focused with a preference for reducing manual work.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and multi-cloud environments.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and networking knowledge.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language (Go, Ruby, Python).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable SRE infrastructure for Atlas platform.
• Operate with autonomy and own the services you manage.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with Atlas software teams to deliver tooling and automation.
• Contribute to reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
