Job summary

Antares is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to own quantitative reliability analysis for the R1 microreactor. You will develop models for reactor and plant level availability, MTBF, MTTR, and capacity factor, and translate requirements into subsystem specs.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to drive reliability improvements, perform DFMEA/FMEA analyses, and establish robust reliability dashboards for leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience performing reliability, root cause analysis, and quantitative engineering work on complex hardware.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, failure modes, and reliability fundamentals.
• Ability to translate availability targets into subsystem requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability analysis for the R1 microreactor, developing and maintaining models.
• Establish targets for systems, subsystems, and components based on plant capacity and requirements.
• Develop reliability block diagrams, fault trees, and FMEA/FMECA analyses.
• Calculate MTBF, MTTR, availability, and other metrics; track reactor downtime drivers.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing, and test teams to improve reliability.
