Job summary

MaxLinear in Carlsbad, CA seeks an experienced Senior Staff Product Engineer to drive SOC development from concept to production release and sustaining phases. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product quality, meet cost targets and timelines; define characterization plans; develop final test and qualification requirements; and lead cost‑reduction efforts to improve yields.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering multiple SOCs to production.
• Experience with ATE such as Verigy and Teradyne.
• Experience with data analysis tools for characterization and yield reporting.
• Experience with CMOS process technologies (28nm and below).
• Knowledge of process and packaging technology.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and ensure product quality and cost targets.
• Extensive semiconductor product engineering experience; RF experience preferred.
• Bachelor's or higher in Electrical Engineering and related years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop SOC products from concept to production release and sustaining phases.
• Ensure product quality, cost targets, and timelines.
• Define and execute product characterization plan and provide feedback to design team.
• Develop the Final Test and Probe test plans.
• Develop and manage product qualification requirements.
• Lead cost reduction and quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and cost.
• Support customer returns with failure analysis and test improvements.
