Job summary

Runway is seeking a senior or staff product engineer to ship end-to-end features in its creative tools, from interface to inference calls behind them. This role is remote in the US and requires strong full-stack capabilities.

You will work with cutting-edge AI models, own frontend and backend components, and help improve reliability and performance in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably full-stack.
• Experience building with third-party AI APIs.
• Experience architecting production-ready systems; familiarity with debugging and profiling tools.
• Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate under tight deadlines.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

• Create rich multimedia interfaces using the cutting-edge of the latest AI video generation models Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0
• Build end-to-end full-stack AI-powered product features - designing and developing both frontend experiences and backend systems, including authoring server-side processes and APIs that power our generative AI tools Common
• Design and implement LLM-powered features and conversational interfaces
• Take on new challenges across the Frontend stack to implement product features for Runway's machine learning-based generative AI tools
• Improve the performance, reliability, and code quality of our codebases

What you'll need

Experience

• 5+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, ideally full-stack focused
