The Futures team develops and incubates emerging technologies, user experiences, and capabilities that will transform the future of our customers, products, and business. We work with teams across Intuit to influence and contribute to the company’s strategy.

In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibilities from spearheading to launching the next generation of customer experiences and capabilities for our current and future customers. You will be part of a small, multi-talented team of engineers and product managers, incubating trajectory-changing experiences and services for Intuit.

Responsibilities

1. Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms.
2. Visualize ideas and concepts to communicate effectively and compellingly for internal leaders, partners, and customers.
3. Translate visions into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.
4. Deliver User Experience visions, UI specifications, wireframes, and prototypes.
5. Collaborate effectively with researchers, product management, development, marketing, and other team members.
6. Use facilitative leadership skills to drive the best outcomes for stakeholders, inspiring and learning from others.
7. Be bold in creating compelling visions and simple designs for complex systems.
8. Learn fast by exploring ideas and interactions through prototypes and testing hypotheses with users.
9. Storytelling to communicate design approaches and inspire teams.
10. Manage and mentor junior designers, coaching them in craft and soft skills.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with pay-for-performance rewards.

The expected base pay range for this position in New York is: $181,500 - $251,000.

Pay is based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. We conduct regular pay equity comparisons across ethnicity and gender categories.

Minimum requirements include:

• 8+ years of experience in interaction, product, or service design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Deep knowledge of design principles and methods.
• Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and driving business results.
• Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Expertise in storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping.
• A compelling online portfolio.
