Your New Role…

CNN is looking for a Sr Staff Product Designer for a new team focused on lifestyle content engagement. The Content Engagement team will help define how lifestyle content appears within CNN digital products, ensuring it is discoverable, engaging, and continually evolving to maximize user retention. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack, data-driven, innovative, and strategic Product Designer, with extensive experience designing and delivering cross-platform user experiences.

Your Role Accountabilities…

1. You will be an integral part of CNN’s Content Engagement team, creating cross-platform lifestyle content user experiences that engage and delight users.
2. You will partner closely with product and editorial teams on design strategies to increase user retention and engagement frequency.
3. You will be embedded in a strategic, research-driven, cross-functional team conducting rapid prototyping to test and validate new content formats and engagement mechanisms.
4. You will guide the overall design vision, utilizing user research, analytics, and audience insights to iterate on content delivery and personalization features.
5. You will collaborate with design and product teams across CNN Engagement to integrate new content features across digital surfaces.
6. You must be innovative and committed to pushing CNN’s boundaries.
7. You should be a highly collaborative self-starter capable of managing projects and deadlines, with flexibility to pivot as needed.

Qualifications & Experience…

1. 12+ years of relevant experience as a cross-platform product designer; experience in media companies is a plus.
2. Mastery of Figma and prototyping, including video prototyping.
3. Impeccable visual and interaction design skills.
4. Expertise in creating and modifying Figma components and utilizing a mature design system.
5. Deep understanding of UX best practices, usability principles, user research methodologies, and testing techniques.
6. Solid knowledge of web and mobile technologies.
7. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
8. Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.

Actual salaries vary based on multiple factors, including experience, location, and performance.
