Job summary

Zoox is seeking a deeply experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the PCU program end-to-end—from architecture through validation and production. In this role you will align hardware, firmware, software, safety, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams toward shared milestones.

You will translate strategy into roadmaps, drive cross-functional collaboration, manage risks, and communicate clearly with executives.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 in program management.
• Deep experience with hardware development and HW/SW integration.
• Significant experience working with suppliers (JDM, CM) to deliver products from conception to production.
• Proficiency in and experience using tools to manage complex projects (JIRA, Smartsheets).
• Strong track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Understands rapid design cycles; remains flexible and calm under uncertainty.
• Self-motivated and proactive problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Drive the PCU program forward with leadership across architecture, hardware, validation, integration, and production.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across departments to translate strategy into roadmaps and deliverables.
• Create and maintain program assets and communications to ensure accountability and visibility.
• Work with engineering development and test teams to plan work and structure tasks (JIRA).
• Define and track resource requirements and spend with Finance.
• Manage supplier activities for build planning and end-of-line tests with procurement teams.
• Coordinate with in‑house manufacturing to ensure timely, spec‑compliant part delivery.
• Lead root-cause analysis and cross-functional resolution of fleet issues.
