Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the strategy and execution of a technical roadmap for Digital Personal Auto Sales. You will design highly scalable, available systems, partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver platform services across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes incident management, observability, and modern technologies, with mentorship of engineers and a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Fluency in at least one modern language (Go is preferred, .Net is a plus).
• Proven track record designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable, available, reliable systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the overall technical roadmap for the Digital Personal Auto Sales, aligning with business goals.
• Lead design and architecture of resilient platform services for on-prem and cloud-based solutions.
• Mentor engineers and lead by example in SDLC best practices and incident management.
