Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to foster a caring, team environment in our retail pharmacy, delivering accurate and efficient services while upholding the integrity of pharmacy practice.

You will lead in-store pharmacy operations, coordinate with managers and technicians, ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state boards, and provide patient counseling and MTM services as required.

Qualifications

• TSBP Preceptor certification after one year of pharmacy practice - Required
• Successful completion of all required training (e.g., H-E-B-hour pharmacist orientation under supervision of Dedicated Trainer - Required
• Federally- and state-mandated training - Required
• HIPAA - Required
• FWA - Required
• Company orientation - Required

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a retail pharmacy operation with focus on providing superior patient care and customer service.
• Oversee inventory management, RxIMS reports, and daily pharmacy tasks to ensure accurate fulfillment.
• Manage third‑party prescription processing and adjudication.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal rules (TSBP, DPS, FDA, DEA, HIPAA).
• Provide patient counseling on new prescriptions and MTM where applicable.
