Job summary

Webflow is seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Scientist to drive advanced research in computer vision, multimodal understanding, and visual generation. You will build and optimize large-scale models, guiding products with cutting-edge methodologies and strong technical leadership.

You will mentor teammates, collaborate with ML engineers and product teams, and help shape Webflow's future research direction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant industry/research experience in CV or multimodal ML
• PhD strongly preferred
• Strong experience with state-of-the-art vision and multimodal model architectures (transformers, diffusion models)
• Proficient in Python; PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Proven ability to translate research into production-ready systems

Responsibilities

• Lead research initiatives in computer vision, multimodal learning, and visual generation.
• Develop models, algorithms, and training methods for vision problems (image, video, generation, multimodal tasks).
• Translate research into practical model improvements for product direction.
• Design and optimize large-scale vision and multimodal foundation models.
• Mentor scientists and engineers; influence research direction.
• Stay at the forefront of CV and multimodal AI research and apply techniques to real-world problems.
