Job summary

Ping Identity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and develop large-scale Java-based identity management solutions, collaborating with a distributed team across North America and Europe. The role emphasizes secure, scalable systems and strong communication to translate requirements into robust code.

You will influence PingIDM features, contribute to cloud deployment strategies, and work closely with support teams to resolve issues in a fast-moving, security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing large‑scale Java applications.
• Strong understanding of HTTP/REST services.
• Experience with cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiar with AI agents to plan and implement features.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale Java‑based identity management products.
• Collaborate effectively with a distributed team in the Portland, OR metro area, Canada, and Europe.
• Analyze requirements with product management and architects to improve PingIDM and develop new features.
• Plan, estimate, and manage development tasks independently and efficiently per business plans.
• Enable successful cloud deployments.
• Work closely with customer-facing support teams to resolve customer issues.
