Job summary

Ping Identity in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead a cross-functional engineering team delivering next-gen SaaS IAM products. You will report to a Senior Director of Engineering and guide requirements, development, testing, and delivery across the full lifecycle.

You will recruit and develop talent, contribute technically through design reviews, forecast resources, and partner with product management to shape product definitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years leading development teams delivering commercial products.
• Experience leading “Software as a Service” teams and processes.
• Experience hiring and leading outstanding engineers.

Job description

• As a Senior Development Manager you will lead a cross-functional engineering team developing the next generation of Ping’s SaaS products in the Identity and Access Management space. You will report to a Senior Director of Engineering and you will be involved in all phases of the application lifecycle including requirements, development, test, and delivery. • Lead a cross-functional team of 8 developers responsible for SaaS and hybrid multi-tenant products
• Manage recruitment, training, and building an accomplished and effective software development team
• Contribute technically to the team: Provide design and code reviews, and contribute to the codebase yourself
• Lead the forecasting, allocation, and management of capital and people investments
• Work with product management to determine product requirements and definitions
• Assist your team in responding quickly in the event of unforeseen production issues. - On-call may be a requirement for this position
