We are seeking a Technical Specialist or Senior Homologation Engineer, ADS Safety Assurance and Regulatory Strategy to play a key role in evaluating, challenging, and strengthening the safety case for Level 3 and Level 4 Automated Driving Systems (ADS). This position requires a highly motivated individual with expertise in safety engineering, regulatory compliance, functional safety, and autonomous vehicle technologies.

The successful candidate will work across engineering, safety, validation, legal, policy, and product development teams to help ensure that Lucid’s ADS products are supported by defensible, audit-ready safety arguments suitable for regulatory assessment, deployment approvals, and commercialization. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence the future of autonomous vehicle safety while engaging with a broad range of engineering disciplines and external stakeholders.

About the Role

Reporting to the Primary Safety Homologation Manager, you will be responsible for independently reviewing and assessing ADS safety cases, supporting the development of defensible safety arguments, and representing Lucid in technical engagements with regulators, governmental agencies, technical services, and approval authorities worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of safety case methodologies, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), SOTIF (ISO 21448), Safety Management Systems (SMS), and emerging global regulatory frameworks for automated driving systems. This individual will help ensure that safety evidence, organizational processes, and governance structures collectively support the safe deployment and regulatory acceptance of ADS technologies.
