Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Staff Full-stack Engineer – Customer Resiliency to join the Card Tech+ community in a remote-eligible capacity. This Senior Director level IC will guide architecture decisions across cloud-native platforms and mentor engineers while delivering scalable, high-impact technology solutions.

You will collaborate with ML, product, and people leaders to drive engineering excellence, push modernization efforts, and balance hands-on coding with strategic design leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related field.
• 9+ years in software engineering, solution architecture and cloud design.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and data architecture.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture and design patterns.
• 12+ years coding in Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, etc.
• 12+ years in full lifecycle software development.
• 7+ years mentoring engineers.
• 3+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews.
• Expertise in applying agentic AI tools to coding challenges.
