Job summary

BD in the United States seeks a leader to develop, deploy, and industrialize manufacturing equipment and process technologies for the Specimen Management Business Unit, translating NPI and design changes into scalable, compliant solutions.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Product Design, Quality, Operations, Procurement, PMO, and suppliers to deliver on-time execution, optimize OEE, reduce COGS, and ensure regulatory compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering is required.
• 10 years of engineering and process development experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Medical device industry experience.
• Up to 25% domestic/international travel for site integration and supplier FAT/SAT.
• Preferred: leadership of engineering teams with people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute equipment and process technology roadmaps aligned with sites.
• Define URS and equipment specs for GMP, ISO, and regulatory needs.
• Lead capital equipment projects from concept through production launch.
• Drive risk management via FMEA, design reviews, and validation planning.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and suppliers for deployment.
• Standardize equipment and processes across multiple sites.
