Job summary

TripleLift is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to drive performance, scalability, and intelligence of our Exchange RTB platform. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and platform teams across the ecosystem to design, build, and operate core RTB services determining ads, placement, and pricing.

You will work with teams in NYC and Zurich, mentor engineers on Java and distributed systems, and apply AI tooling to accelerate development while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building high-performance APIs/services in Java.
• Experience with large-scale, low-latency systems.
• Experience operating services across AWS regions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve high-throughput bidding/logistics services for RTB platform.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code with strong observability.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development with caution.
• Research AI/ML-driven optimizations for bidding and traffic decisions.
• Collaborate with NYC and Zurich teams to maintain shared standards and drive architectural decisions.
• Mentor engineers on Java and distributed systems best practices.
