You will guide engineers, set technical direction, and drive initiatives across multiple teams to enhance the Uber platform. You will collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex network issues, improve observability, and ensure a scalable, low-latency experience for users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 7+ years in software development focusing on networking and distributed systems.
• Strong Go proficiency and solid knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Uber’s edge infrastructure stack for reliability and security.
• Address large-scale networking challenges in a global system.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align objectives and drive initiatives.
• Lead engineers by setting technical direction and mentoring.
• Respond promptly to outages to maintain service reliability.
• Build observability tooling for internal stakeholders.
