Job summary

Payoneer, a global payments platform, is seeking a deeply experienced Senior Staff Engineer to architect the bank's core transactional systems and integrate the stablecoin issuance engine with fiat reserves and on-chain token supply. You will report to the CTO of PDB and guide a team of engineers in a regulated banking environment.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, audit readiness, and hands-on leadership, with responsibilities spanning architecture, reconciliation, and compliance

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years architecting high‑integrity transactional systems.
• Strong distributed systems expertise and reconciliation at scale.
• Experience with regulated environments, audits, and regulatory review.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the bank's core backend, including microservices and internal APIs for OCC readiness.
• Design reconciliation between fiat subledger, reserve accounts, and on‑chain token supply.
• Lead the Core Backend team with code quality, testing, observability, and deployment standards.
• Integrate sanctions screening with auditable case escalation hooks.
• Partner with SRE on multi‑region availability and real‑time ledger alerts; collaborate with Security on IAM and key management.
• Support UAT, feature freezes, and external control validations before pre‑opening exam.
