Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, seeks a Staff Engineer to join our Transportation Technologies team in Kentwood, MI. This role focuses on automotive component certification and advancing technical capabilities for our clients.

You will review test procedures, mentor staff, develop training, manage capital projects, and stay current with national and international standards. First shift with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 6+ years of independent technical decision experience.
• Advanced knowledge of FMVSS, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, IEC standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Provide local management with technical assessment of engineering skills.
• Develop training programs for technical staff.
• Support test procedures and standards interpretations.
• Design test fixtures and report shells.
• Manage capital expenditure requests and projects.
• Mentor less senior technical staff.
• Audit accreditations activities and investigate technical complaints.
• Identify and document engineering judgments.
