Job summary

Coverwatch, a remote-first AI-native commercial insurance broker, is seeking a senior staff+ IC to own the technical direction of a large portion of the platform. You'll work with the founders and customers from day one, shaping the product and its architecture.

Our stack includes Next.js, Python, Temporal; you will ship end-to-end features, design systems, and build real-world AI workflows used by brokers to manage risk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software experience with backend architecture and system design.
• Experience with workflow orchestration (Temporal) and AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience building agentic automations and integrations with orchestration frameworks.
• Ability to work directly with founders and customers to shape the product.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for a large part of the platform and product.
• Ship end-to-end features autonomously from concept to production.
• Design and architect systems from scratch to scale with the business.
• Build real-world AI workflows used by brokers to manage risk.
• Collaborate directly with brokers and customers to iterate on outcomes.
• Continuously seek processes and tooling improvements to boost efficiency.
