General Responsibilities:

Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. This includes performing and leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, recommendations, designing plans and specifications, observing and inspecting construction, and preparing related reports. Review drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Prepare proposals, cost estimates, track project progress and budgets, and suggest changes. Research and resolve design and construction issues. Analyze laboratory and field data for reports. Communicate complex engineering concepts clearly to clients and teams. Projects may span sectors like public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning; report safety issues.
• Implement quality practices daily.
• Maintain quality standards in proposals and project delivery.
• Manage small to medium projects and some complex projects.
• Develop scope of work, prepare estimates, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyze data.
• Coordinate investigations, testing, and data evaluation.
• Develop project plans and schedules.
• Collaborate with senior project managers for experience growth.
• Make design recommendations and modifications.
• Prepare scopes, proposals, reports, and plan investigations for approval.
• Advise junior team members and supervise field staff.
• Engage with clients and team members on project scope and progress.
• Work under supervision of a Professional Engineer and authorized reviewer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable history.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI); ability to become a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Preferred Certification:

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
