Job summary

CHAOS Industries in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to lead high-speed digital hardware design for aerospace and military applications. You will shape architecture, guide cross-functional teams, and own digital board design from concept through verification and production.

The role requires a track record in signal integrity and power integrity, FPGA/processor/DDR interfaces, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex high-speed digital hardware designs.
• Strong fundamentals in timing, clocking, impedance, SI/PI, grounding, and return-path management.
• Experience with FPGA, processors, memory devices, data converters, and high-speed interfaces.
• Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and guide designs through production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical execution of high-speed digital circuit cards and subsystems.
• Lead PCBAs with FPGAs, processors, memory, data converters and high-speed interfaces.
• Define design approaches balancing performance, schedule, manufacturability, and qualification.
• Promote design practices for digital board design, SI/PI analysis, and verification.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal leadership on digital hardware topics.
• Mentor engineers and drive hardware integration, verification, and production transition.
