Job summary

Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) invites a Senior Staff Debug and Validation Engineer to lead post-silicon validation for mobile GPU coherent interconnects and memory controllers. You will automate validation, drive DfD architecture, and guide board-level bring-up of ARM-based SoCs in Android/Firmware environments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years with a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or related field, or 13+ years with a Master’s, or 11+ years with a Ph.D.
• Experience with coherent interconnect and GPU architectural knowledge and development.
• Experience with SoC and board-level bring up.
• Experience with driving debug across design, verification and software organization.
• Experience with power and performance data collection and analysis in Firmware and Android-based test environments.
• Experience with GPU and microprocessor debug using Logic Analyzer, Scopes, and other test equipment.
• Experience with Android and Linux based driver development.
• Experience with C/C++/Object Oriented programming, Python, Shell Scripting.
• Availability to work on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Validate Samsung’s mobile GPU coherent interconnects and memory controllers.
• Own post-silicon validation across GPU, interconnects, and memory controllers.
• Develop automated SoC‑level tests and IP‑level validation plans.
• Analyze SoC behavior to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Debug complex SoC/IP issues using advanced power and performance techniques.
• Provide mentorship and cross‑functional collaboration across design, verification and software.
