Apple Inc. is seeking a Staff/Sr. Core Infrastructure Engineer for AI, Search & Knowledge Platforms in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Join a team that builds the infrastructure to connect Apple users with vast information, powering Siri and other features. You will work with product, search, and machine learning teams to deliver scalable back-end systems and data pipelines, operating at trillions of data points.

Qualifications

10+ years of software development experience in building and operating large-scale cloud infrastructure.
Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and backend services on cloud platforms like AWS/GCP and container orchestration like Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and their application in large-scale systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and operate the large-scale backend infrastructure powering information intelligence and search features.
Optimize massive-scale data pipelines to process large volumes of data.
Collaborate with product, search, and ML teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Ensure health and performance of critical infrastructures by monitoring metrics, troubleshooting issues, and participating in on-call rotations.
