Job summary

Apple seeks an experienced software engineer to join the Core Infra team and build information intelligence infrastructure used by billions of Apple products. You will design, implement, and operate large-scale backend systems, collaborate with product, search, and ML teams, and ensure reliability and performance in a multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development for large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and backend services.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate the large-scale backend infrastructure that powers Apple's information intelligence and search features
• Optimize massive-scale data pipelines to process large volumes of data
• Collaborate closely with product, search, and machine learning teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver robust solutions
• Ensure the health and performance of critical infrastructures by monitoring key metrics, troubleshooting complex issues, and participating in an on-call rotation
