Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore is seeking a Staff Chief Engineer to lead engineering direction for a complex program on site. You will oversee design, development, testing and delivery of products, and act as the technical authority across teams and reviews.

The role emphasizes SEIT mastery, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to policy standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 14 years of experience (or Master/PhD with 12/10 years); advanced degree permitted.
U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP.
Experience leading Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and guiding technical direction.
Extensive SEIT experience with system integration and test.
Strong understanding of EOIR design principles and architecture.

Responsibilities

Manage technical development and direction for all engineering aspects on the program.
Collect and provide required data for program reporting of engineering performance.
Serve as the technical authority for the program and chair the Technical Review Board.
Serve as engineering team liaison for communications to/from Program Management, Manufacturing, Operations, customers, and other functions.
Oversee technical content for system design reviews (SDR) with entrance/exit criteria.
Ensure integration of the overall technical plan within the IMS and overall quality.
