Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems – Research & Advanced Design (R&AD) seeks a Senior Staff Chief Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team in developing and transitioning next-generation air vehicle technologies. The role involves shaping technical requirements, guiding design concepts, and interfacing with customers and senior leadership.

The successful candidate will drive engineering excellence across programs, mentor technical contributors, and manage risk while operating within cost

Qualifikationen

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field with 14 years of related experience.
Master of Science degree in a STEM field with 12 years of related experience.
Ph.D. in a STEM field with 8 years of related experience.

Aufgaben

Serve as the technical authority for the Operating Unit and provide technical direction to activities.
Define and control technical requirements and ensure cross-project coordination.
Interface with customers and senior leadership to align programs.
Ensure programs adhere to sound engineering principles and standards.
Oversee technical performance within cost and schedule constraints.
Chair the Technical Review Board (TRB).
Support risk and opportunity management by identifying technical risks.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring on systems engineering practices.
