Coupang is seeking a senior leader for its Global Operations Optimization Science and Engineering group (GOOSE) to architect and scale ML/optimization systems across supply chain, logistics, and risk detection. You will tackle counterfeit detection at scale, partnering with product and engineering to deliver measurable business impact.

The role requires deep ML expertise, leadership across diverse teams, and a track record of delivering production ML in a fast-paced, global setting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics or closely related fields.
• 8 years of professional experience in applied machine learning.
• Experience in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java, with experience in building production grade ML systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement end-to-end ML systems for applications such as Commerce Risk Detection, Post Purchase Experiences, Logistics Compliance, etc.
• Drive innovation in Coupang eCommerce Operations using ML technologies and own ML roadmaps for large projects.
• Build and optimize ML pipelines using Spark, Airflow, Kubeflow, MLflow for reproducibility and scalability.
• Define and track KPIs to evaluate model impact and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and back-end engineers to align tech with business goals.
• Mentor and grow engineering talent, fostering technical excellence and learning.
