Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Staff Applications Engineer to provide deep technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and drive the design and execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives. You will shape architecture, define roadmaps, and establish engineering best practices in a remote US setting.

The role requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, strong cloud-native expertise, and hands-on contribution to high-impact components

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Designing distributed systems, cloud-native apps, or large-scale enterprise platforms.
Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud, microservices, or large-scale data systems.
Strong programming in Java, C#, Go, Python, or C++.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, and execution of large-scale, cross-team initiatives from concept through production.
Define architectural standards and reusable design patterns across product/platform teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior engineers.
Lead architecture reviews and engineering decision-making for mission-critical systems.
Translate long-term technology strategy into executable roadmaps and initiatives.
Drive improvements in scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
