Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. seeks a Sr. Staff Application Engineer for the HiRel product group to support existing analog products and drive new developments for space applications, including precision op-amps, ADCs, and related devices.

You will collaborate with an engineering team on device characterization, datasheet creation, and customer support, while engaging with customers to translate requirements into deliverable product features. A BS in EE and strong lab skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 7 to 10+ years in Applications/Systems Engineering role in Analog IC Development or Circuit Design.
• Proficient with analog and mixed-signal designs.
• Proficient with electronic bench lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Experience in SPICE/IBIS modeling preferred.
• US citizen or Green Card preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Characterize devices and prepare validation reports from bench testing and characterization.
• Work in a multidisciplinary New Product Development team to define, evaluate, characterize, and document new product developments for market readiness.
• Engage with customers and support FAE/Marketing/Sales visits to refine application needs into product features.
• Support customers implementing our products in their hardware systems via email, calls, or on-site visits.
• Participate in global industry conventions as a presenter.
