You will partner with Product, Design, Backend, Infrastructure, iOS, and other mobile leaders to deliver intuitive and reliable experiences at scale.

15+ years of professional software engineering experience, with Android production apps.
Expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development with setting technical standards.

Responsibilities

Define multi-year technical strategy for experiences used by millions of users.
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from exploration to production rollout.
Lead feature prototyping to shape Android user experiences.
Collaborate with Product and Design to balance user needs and technical constraints.
Identify org-wide opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and productivity.
Act as top-level technical authority; participate in architecture reviews and mentorship.
Set and evangelize best practices for Android development, testing, and observability.
Drive evolution of Slack's mobile architecture and infrastructure for future investments.
Mentor and grow other Staff and Senior engineers; foster technical leadership.
