Job summary

Slickdeals is hiring a Senior Android Engineer to drive the Android platform's technical vision and delivery. You will guide architectural decisions, mentor the team, and collaborate with Product, Design, iOS, Backend, and other engineering groups to ensure a seamless mobile experience.

You will lead large-scale initiatives, stay current with Android SDK updates, and help shape our mobile app strategy in a fast-moving, creative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin (Java welcome).
• Experience driving architectural decisions for large-scale Android apps.
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose, MVVM/MVI, and DI (Hilt/Dagger).

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term Android roadmap and architecture for the platform.
• Design, implement, test, and deliver Android features with Kotlin (and Java when needed).
• Collaborate with Product, Design, iOS, Backend, and other teams to align on goals.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and lead code reviews and design sessions.
• Stay current with Android SDKs, observability, and performance improvements.
