Relativity is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Gavel Exec team. You will own the architecture of the agentic system, set evaluation standards, and lead the technical roadmap across the stack, including live indexing and hybrid search.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with leadership, and ship high-impact features in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment. The role requires deep AI engineering knowledge, distributed systems expertise, and hands-on experience with cloud

Qualifications

• 10+ years building production software.
• 2+ years shipping LLM-based products to real users.
• 5+ years in service-oriented, continuously deployed environments.
• Ownership of an agentic system in production with multi-step tool use.
• Strong understanding of AI engineering stack and model routing.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the Gavel Exec agent system across components.
• Define evaluation standards and build offline/online acceptance tools.
• Lead the technical roadmap across live indexing, hybrid search, and grounding.
• Drive platform decisions for infrastructure, identity, and security.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and interview processes.
• Ship continuously while tackling high-leverage problems.
