Job summary

Google is hiring a Senior Staff Engineer for Developer Intelligence to lead the architectural direction across Vertex AI, Cloud, and third-party agents. You will own multi-year technical outlook, ensure architectural cohesion, and drive engineering standards globally from New York City to the West Coast.

Designing unifying protocols and distributed layers, you will connect client tools, Cloud infra, and sandboxed runtimes capable of hosting first- and third-party agents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 7 years leading technical project strategy, ML design and ML infra.
• 5 years of design/architecture and testing/launching software products.
• 2 years experience with GenAI techniques or related concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI developer platform and roadmaps for modular tools, agents, and Cloud.
• Establish isolation primitives for executing untrusted code and industry standards.
• Set performance/latency targets and lead architecture reviews to reduce risk.
• Mentor senior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across Google Cloud.
• Collaborate with senior engineers across Vertex AI, DeepMind, and Cloud Security.
