Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer (IC5) to set the technical vision and architecture across AI-native and cloud-native systems. This role blends deep technical leadership with organizational influence, mentoring senior engineers and shaping platform strategy to align with business goals.

The IC5 will drive evaluation of AI/ML frameworks, establish standards, and own roadmaps for critical initiatives.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience or equivalent in senior roles.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems and platform architecture.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native and AI-native architectures and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Define platform architecture and multi-year roadmaps for AI-native and cloud-native systems.
• Lead core platform development enabling AI-native development at scale, incl. monitoring and security.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML technologies and establish engineering standards across the org.
• Mentor and develop senior engineers and engineering leaders; lead technical hiring and reviews.
• Communicate technical strategy to executives and cross-functional teams.
