Job summary

Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, PA is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a GAAP-based environment. You will perform budget analysis, manage financial reports by department, and assist with audits and system improvements.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with Tableau or BI tools, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. This is an on-site position in Pinehurst, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, data analysis).
• Experience with Tableau or BI/reporting tools.
• Experience with accounting or enterprise financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and close activities.
• Prepare reconciliations and research discrepancies with documentation.
• Assist with financial statements, reports, and budget analysis.
• Prepare department, location, and physician financial reports.
• Provide accounting support for accounts payable, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations.
• Support annual operating and capital budgets and financial modeling.
• Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and tax preparation support.
• Maintain accounting controls, procedures, and documentation.
• Support systems with Excel, Tableau, and other financial tools.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Revenue Cycle, HR, and operations to resolve issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist with special projects.
