Job summary

Pinehurst Surgical Clinic is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to oversee general ledger activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will collaborate across departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and PSC policies.

The role involves working with cross-functional teams, supporting audits, and continuously improving financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Experience with accounting or enterprise financial systems.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and close activities for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analyze departmental and location financials, including profitability reporting.
• Provide accounting support for AP, cash receipts, bank reconciliations, and related functions.
• Support audits, regulatory reporting, and tax preparation.
