Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to manage monthly closing for divisional and corporate entities, review and prepare journal entries, and publish financial statements. You will maintain fixed assets schedules and provide ERP support across locations nationwide, with occasional travel.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of related experience.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to train operational partners in ERP software.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial information monthly/quarterly/annually using approved company financial reporting tools.
• Ensure integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering journal entries; assist in month-end close and reconciliations.
• Prepare interim and year-end audit work papers.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and interpret data using spreadsheets.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules for internal GAAP and tax for multiple entities.
• Provide ERP software support for locations nationwide.
• Occasional overnight travel is possible.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts across business segments.
• Perform other related duties as required.
