Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and accounting process improvements within a multi-entity organization in Florida. You will handle journal entries, balance sheet reviews, and variance analysis to provide insights to leadership.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong Excel and ERP skills (Sage Intacct preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement review.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system; Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, or ERP optimization preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for payroll, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, intangible assets, and other key accounts.
• Analyze financial results, variances, and trends and provide insights to leadership.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with GAAP.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and account information.
• Assist with tax, licensing, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Identify and resolve ERP-related accounting and transactional issues.
• Improve and standardize accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls.
• Support the integration of acquired entities and transition of financial information into accounting systems.
• Assist with due diligence, system implementations, process improvements, and other special projects.
