LBMC Employment Partners, LLC, a Nashville-based PEO and HR consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support the Controller with audit readiness, month-end close, and GAAP-compliant reporting.

The role handles bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, client pass-through transactions, and cash segregation for PEO operations; strong attention to detail and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA certification is highly preferred.
• 4-5+ years of direct accounting experience, including reconciliations, general ledger, and close processes.
• ERP systems proficiency and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Prior experience in a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) environment is preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge with high accuracy in reconciliations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own audit readiness and coordinate with Compliance to keep certifications and filings audit-ready.
• Lead a PBC tracker and centralize audit documentation.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant, timely month-end and year-end close.
