Job summary

Sims Crane & Equipment is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL to manage asset accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations. You will generate financial reports, support budgets, and collaborate with executives on financial data and audits.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in corporate accounting, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel; PowerBI/SQL knowledge is preferred. This is a full-time on-site role requiring US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate accounting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform fixed asset accounting.
• Generate and maintain financial records and reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare journal entries as part of month-end close.
• Assist with budgets.
• Conduct internal audits.
• Support executives and respond to management data requests.
• Backfill Payroll Department when needed.

Job Summary

The Staff Accountantis responsible forasset accounting and reconciliations, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly and quarterly reports for corporate in addition to custom reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fixed asset accounting
• Generate andmaintainfinancial records and reports
• Perform bank reconciliations for assigned accounts
• Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
• Perform journal entries as part of the month end closing process for various transactions
• Assistwith budgets
• Conduct internal audits
• Assist Executive team and department leaders as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes
• Backfill Payroll Department whenneeded.

Qualifications

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strongproficiencywith Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
