Job summary

The HT Group is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join a client team between the Warren and Kountze areas in Texas. This contract-to-hire, full-time role operates Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a pay range of $50,000–$60,000 per year ($24–$29/hour), DOE.

You will handle daily AP/AR, assist with month-end close and reconciliations, and prepare financial reports. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Tyler Technologies are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, including AP/AR.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Tyler Technologies or similar system is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and organization.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with strong AP/AR experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Tyler Technologies or a similar accounting system is a plus; training will be provided on the company's system.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
