Job description

Our client, a nationwide supplier of commercial products, has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Staff Accountant, to join their winning team in Ewing.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting for both the month-end and year-end closing process. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards, manage general ledger entries, and provide analysis and insights to support business decisions and have exposure to all operational groups within the company.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Prepare detailed financial reports, and variance analysis. Provide insights on financial performance to management.
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
• Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to the ledger
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate recording and timely payments/collections.
• Manage and analyze cost accounting data, including inventory valuation, production costs, and overhead analysis. Work with the manufacturing team to identify cost-saving opportunities and improvements.
• Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Other duties and projects as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years of experience and proficiency with computerized accounting systems
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, accounting theory, and month end close procedures.
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across departments.
